Music Review: Modern Monsters – Malice -Release Date; March 2023
Any true rock fan can’t deny a fact that at some point, no matter where their personal musical preferences lie, they crave for some down and dirty, heavy rock. You know where the guitars and rhythm sections roam and the vocals (with some harmonies to boot) keep the songs rolling.
That is exactly what Modern Monsters a heavy rock band from the Bay Are brings us with their latest EP, ‘Malice.’ Of course, with heavy rock, the playing has to range from very good to immaculate, and the intensity has to be at 11 out of 10.
And yes, Modern Monsters (Keenan Tuohy, drums, Brody Bass, bass, Wyatt Lennon and Rich Wells, guitars, and Josh Weaver, vocals) got all of that here and as the icing to the cake do a heavied-up version of Jefferson Airplane’s ‘White Rabbit.’ They are from the Bay Area after all, aren’t they?
