Review:-Christina Martin’s album Storm – September 1, 2023
Many artist are trying to make it in the now over-populated genre of pop/rock. Yet, the key to success here, needs everything to be almost perfect – from the songwriting to singing and playing to arrangements, production, and well, PR, the latter including everything from photos to timing of releases.
Now, that songwriting and singing/playing part these days includes being able to navigate through more than one genre, and very often, just being good is not good enough.
Canadian singer-songwriter Christina Martin, seems to cover all those bases with her latest album ‘Storm.’ The songwriting is more than just strong, covers everything from pop to rock and Americana, often within one song. Her singing matches the songwriting, and so do all the other crucial elements here.
Being able to do this requires both talent and experience, and Martin seems to possess both, as she’s been around since 2002, with ‘Storm’ probably being her strongest album so far.
