Review: Science Made Us Robot’s single “Gonna Get a Medicine” – Release date January 19, 2024
Edinburgh’s Science Made Us Robots sound is born out of Green Day, Rancid, NOFX and Bad Religion. Fast and melodic American punk, sung from English and Scottish lungs. Formed in 2012, they have three albums under their belt. ‘Rats & Swans’ has the harder edges, ‘Paper Bones’ is more melodic, and ‘Dividing by Zero’ is acoustic. The band have contributed songs to releases from Kibou and Struck Dum Records. A new album is expected in 2024. Their previous singles were re-releases of ‘Today’ and ‘Fall Down’ which garnered radio plays across the globe with favourable results!
Rock At Night Says: “Gonna Get a Medicine” is pure, balls-to-the-wall punk. Before long, you’ll be singing “Gonna get a medicine to quiet down the voices in my head/Gonna get a medicine before those voices finally kill me dead.” It has it all.
