Review: Fresh – Merch Girl Single-Release date – April 19, 2024
London England post-punk quartet Fresh have been something of a fixture on the London’s punk scene for some years now (since 2017).
Lead by the band’s main songwriter Kathryn Woods, the trio’s big splash was their ‘Raise Hell’ album from 2022. Now, the trio are back with a three-song single, to solidify their post-punk reputation.
While the lead track “Merch Girl” might be something to expect from the band – fast, punchy song that doesn’t sacrifice melody for loudness, the other two songs – “Easy” and “Long Long Time,”are more subdued but still fit quite nicely in the band’s cannon.
Still, Merch Girl” is something to cherish with its paced guitars, a great melody that suits the vocals. Excellent in every way.
