Review: Vulture Feather – EP Review – Merge Now In Friendship – Release date: February 28, 2024
Navigating in any single sub-genre of alternative/indie rock can be complex thing, let alone when you try to navigate within any number of them. Yet, when you do it right, you get an intriguing combination that in most cases makes listeners prick up their ears and pay attention.
Vulture Feather are a Northern California three-piece (a combination of Baltimore’s Wilderness and the early post-hardcore band Don Martin Three). that try to do that and their debut album from 2023 ‘Liminal Fields’ showed a serious promise for the fans that favor their post-hardcore, emo with touches of art rock and some gritty vocals and prominent guitars up front.
Since not everything could not fit on the album, the trio took three leftover track they though deserve to see the light of day and gave them a new veneer, as a form of an introduction for those listeners that missed the album.
Those who catch this one will probably look for the album too!
