Interview: Katherine Yeske Taylor – Author of She’s a Badass: Women in Rock Shaping Feminism – Recorded May 1, 2024
Rock and roll has long been the purveyance of men, but things started changing in the Sixties. In the 21st century, women have become just as strong as the men they work beside in the industry – but how did they do it? In She’s a Badass: Women in Rock Shaping Feminism, author Katherine Yeske Taylor sat down with twenty notable women in the history of rock and roll to find out their stories.
Katherine discusses the women rockers she interviewed for the book (for example, Suzi Quatro and Gina Schock of the GoGo’s), the common theme for all of their stories, and if there was someone that Katherine wanted to interview, but for some reason wasn’t able to. Enjoy!
