Pete Loran’s “Around Again” will be released worldwide digitally on May 31, 2024
Rock At Night has as soft spot for 80s hard rock and glam rock music. Just last week we reviewed Saigon Kick’s show in Clearwater, Florida. In the 80s and early-90s, there was a band from Paramus, New Jersey called “Trixter.” They were famous for the 1989 hit “Give It to Me Good,” appeared on MTV, and toured with bands like Kix, Skid Row, and Scorpions.
Well, Trixter is still around–and lead singer/guitarist Pete Loran is working on solo projects. Rock At Night is happy to premiere the video “Around Again.”
We recently heard the new song by Pete Loran, the multi-platinum, award winning, singer-songwriter out of Paramus New Jersey, is best known for being the lead singer of 1990’s, American metal band Trixter. Not ever leaving music in the rearview mirror, Pete is back with a new solo project, single and video, “Around Again”, dropping May 31, 2024.
Pete says, “The inspiration for, “Around Again”, is me drawing from my experiences and also observing my friends and their relationships. Where things took a turn and went the wrong way and then they became fundamentally broken, it’s the hurt that’s inevitable to follow.”
Rock At Night Says: The song brings me back to the 80s when lyrics were meaningful yet still had a hard rock edge. This rock ballad is about a toxic relationship or one that is dying down. The chorus says, “I don’t wanna’ make you cry…but you keep comin’ around again.” It’s like the person is throwing herself at him when the relationship is over. It makes one think. But, better yet, makes me want to hear more music from him.
