Review: Jamie Perrett’s single “Glory Days”  – January 29, 2025

If the Perrett last name sounds familiar, then you just might be on the right track – as Jamie is the son of Peter Perrett, the author of one of the the post-punk/new wave classics ‘Another Girl, Another Planet.’

Yet the connection doesn’t end there – Jamie produced his father’s latest album ‘The Cleansing,’ and on his latest single ‘Glory Days,’ he seems to go back exactly at the time when his father created the above classic – the time of exciting post-punk era, when The Clash and other bands, like his father’s The Only Ones rightfully dominated the alternative airwaves.

It is a tight, energetic song that leaves no prisoners along the way, and it seems that Jamie Perrett to rightfully follow in his father’s footsteps.
