Making their live debut Perth’s own metal supergroup Make Way For Man are the local support for Trivium at Metro’s Fremantle. After the success of the first single ‘Limitless’ the band have just released their EP ‘Evolve and Repair’. These guys sound hectic in the best possible way. Described as Progressive Metalcore. Intricate layers of guitar, drums and vocals make them a unique musical experience. You have to hear it for yourself to understand, the frantic and aggressive guitar shredding combined with killer progressive beats and ferocious vocal battles raise the hair on the back of your neck and lift your spirit into a musical head spin that’s addictive. Drew Shepherd is the driving force behind the band, it’s concept and it’s sound, previously playing in several other bands, Prescient being the last with bass man Adam Mather. Adams brother Jordan Mather from Saviour on drums. Vocalists John Kelly – This Other Eden & Sean Henry – Sparrow with additional guitarist Josh Allcock make up the MWFM line up.

These guys really caught the crowd by surprise as they were filling the club, the impact was obvious, there was immediate audience participation. Within their 30 minute slot they had set the tone for the rest of the night, the guys were loud and heavy the mosh started before the first track ‘Evolve & Repair’ had finished. The band managed to recreate their unique musical presence live, capturing the essence of their sound and message. Judging by the MWFM merchandise being modelled by the crowd after their set, the first show had successfully extended their fan base. The Trivium followers seemed to approve.
