The Tightropes is a Dutch trio that connects blues, rock and funk, with a broad sound that seems to be rooted in the Sixties and Seventies. The guitar player is a good soloist, as well as an excellent funky rhythm guitarist, which he combines with his typical style. Of course, this will work because of the strength of the bass/drum combination. During a live show The Tightropes may be classified as a band with ‘high energy and craziness’ .
The Tightropes perform about 100 shows a year in The Netherlands, mostly at large festivals, but also in small venues. It doesn’t matter if the audience is large or small–they always put on their best show. RAN caught the band in Leeuwarden, The Netherlands, at Neushoorn Café.
