Venue: The Vinoy, St. Petersburg, Florida–Warped Tour 2016–YOUNG GUNS
Rock At Night had the pleasure of speaking with John Taylor (guitar) and Simon Mitchell (bass) of the UK rock band Young Guns during their stop with the Warped Tour in St. Petersburg, Florida. The guys describe their music as “straight up rock with choruses and riffs” or “melodic rock” with influences drawn from all their rock heroes. This is Young Gun’s first Warped Tour but they are no stranger to America, having toured here before. Chyrisse had the pleasure of seeing them in Tampa in 2015 during the 98Rockfest at the Amelie Arena in Tampa, Florida.
During the interview, John Taylor and Simon Mitchell of Young Guns discussed their experience of touring in America, their new album Echoes, which will be released in September, their favorite charities, including their love of rescue dogs, and advice for bands starting out in music. Listen to find out all the details!
