The Reverend Shawn Amos is a remarkable singer and harmonica player. A performance of The Reverend is somewhere in the middle of a ceremony and an evening in the hottest club in town. Shawn Amos sings his heart and soul out, he kneels, writhes on the stage, puts his hands up to heaven and blesses the public.
The motto he quoted: “This Reverend doesn’t preach charity but genuine love and lust that makes the world whole”. And this message came across to the audience, no doubt.
The music of The Reverent Shawn Amos, is an energetic mix of different styles of blues, soul and gospel. The latest album ‘The Reverent Shawn Amos Loves You’ (2015) got good reviews in the international blues scene.
RAN caught The Reverend Shawn Amos and his band at the music event ‘Here Comes The Summer’ at Vlieland, one of the isles in the coastal waters of the Netherlands.
