Tiny Moving Parts

Tiny Moving Parts is an American band from Benson, Minnesota, described by some as emo or math rock. A self-described “family band” consisting of Dylan Mattheisen (licks and lyrics), William Chevalier (lower licks and lyrics), and Matthew Chevalier (wildly beating the skins), they started playing together in junior high and have been together since then, releasing their first of five EPs in 2008 and first of three albums in 2010, they are currently signed with Triple Crown Records which released their current album, “Celebrate,” along with their previous album. They also have had success in the UK and Europe, where their music is release through Big Scary Monsters.

By whatever description, it was clear the crowd appreciated their music and knew it well. They played some new and some classic tunes: Good Enough, Happy Birthday, Sundress, Stay Warm, Common Cold, Birdhouse, Always Focused, Headache, and Dakota. There was plenty of energy emanating from the stage and infecting the audience!

They’re on the move with Real Friends, Have Mercy, Broadside, and Nothing, Nowhere throughout August. Catch them if you can!

Find them through their website, Facebook, Twitter, or Instagram.
