British blues rock singer/guitar player Laurence Jones released his new album The Truth at the end of September. He’s touring through Europe with his band to promote this new album. Jones is young, 25 years old, but not a new kid on the block. The Truth is his fifth album, and he played with people like Samantha Fish, Walter Trout, Buddy Guy and many others. He plays the guitar very well and sounds like a veteran. And his vocals are impressive. It’s not heavy blues-rock but he plays songs with catchy refrains, and is influenced by Robert Cray, Eric Clapton and Albert Collins.
Jones is a born performer, the good-looking sympathetic guy communicates with the audience, lets them shout, sing, dance and clap their hands. The band is a very steady and powerful backbone of the show, which Jones can lean on. Rock At Night (RAN) shot photos of the band at Neushoorn, Leeuwarden, The Netherlands.
