Josh Hoyer and Soul Colossal are heading back to Europe with “DO IT NOW” Tour and same named new album.
I met Josh, Benjamin, Larell, Mike and James at Wood Stock Guitares where I interviewed them for Rock At Night in March 2017. I discovered them live and didn’t stop dancing from start to end.
Not only are they fabulous musicians but also fantastic human beings spreading love through their music. Since March 2017? Well they released a live album and videos from their concert at the AB in Brussels they’ve been touring a lot in US, and released their fourth album DO IT NOW, a full-length Soul/Funk record. It will be available from August 16th on vinyl and CD at all shows in Europe and will be released in the USA in early 2019.

‘DO IT NOW’ was produced by Josh Hoyer and recorded in March 2018 by James Fleege at Silver Street Studio in Ashland, NE and Keith Rodgers at Make Believe Studios in Omaha, NE. The record was mixed by James Fleege at Silver Street Studio, mastered for digital by Eric Conn at Independent Mastering in Nashville, TN, and mastered for vinyl by Jeff Powell in Memphis, TN. ‘Do It Now’ was executive produced by Charles Hull at Silver Street Records in Ashland, NE.
JOSH HOYER & SOUL COLOSSAL are very excited to come back for their second European tour (so am I ). It will be a barnstorming romp of thirty two shows in forty-five days across seven countries and thirty-seven cities.
Last January Josh Hoyer also released a solo side project, a 3 titles EP “THE END OF THE NIGHT”.
He wrote it together with Jon Coleman (producer of the EP) and the famous song writer from Nashville, Jay Knowles. It was recorded and mixed in Nashville by technician Teddy Morgan and mastered by Richard Dodd.

From Belgian and Italian parents, I grew up with music, dance and big fun! I love singing since I'm a little girl, I still am, haha. When I was 14, I saw my first concert: T-Rex. Later it was FrankZappa, Miles Davis, Chick Corea, Fela, Canned Heat, Little Feat, Bonnie Raitt, Earth, Wind and Fire ....
I dreamed to have a chat with each of them 😀 Before interviewing bands, I used to sing (and still do) and met lots of great musicians. I had the chance to be the support band to Joe Cocker in 2007. I love to communicate and meet people (Italian blood).
Working for magazine, a few years ago, l met José Oliveira! We were working at the same festival in Colmar. 2 people from the South with the same passion just recognized each other...and we stayed in contact since then. Here I am! Enjoying concerts, covering interviews and articles with José for Rock at Night!!
