Singer, songwriter and musician, Lola Lennox releases brand new single “Back At Wrong” today. The release follows Lola’s much talked about duet performance with her mother, Annie Lennox, of “There Must Be An Angel” for Global Citizen One World: Together At Home.
“Back At Wrong” is produced by Dan Muckala (Echosmith, Teisto), with additional production by Annie Lennox and Braeden Wright. Instantly infectious, “Back At Wrong” showcases not only Lola’s powerful voice, but also her inherent aptitude for songwriting. Drawing on Lola’s own experience of a toxic relationship, “Back At Wrong” is a raw and intimate take on the ecstatic highs and heart wrenching lows that is young love.
Music has been in Lola’s blood from as long as she can remember. She has played the piano and sung from seven years old, written songs from the age of fifteen, and earned a place at the Royal Academy of Music. More recently, she collaborated with Goldfrapp’s Will Gregory on the soundtrack for the 2019 “Serengeti” docu-series, which aired in the UK (on BBC) and the U.S. (on Discover Network), in addition to 34 other countries around the world. The innovative six-part series highlighted majestic animals in their day-to-day setting on Africa’s Serengeti, with narration by Oscar winning actress Lupita Nyong’o. Lola wrote and recorded several songs for the series with Will and was able to perform them with the Hollywood Symphony Orchestra at a special event for at the show’s premiere in Los Angeles.
An inspiring talent on the rise, Lola has been spent time in the studio over the past year with the likes of Eg White (Florence & the Machine, Sam Smith), Dan Wilson (Adele) and Dan Muckala (Leona Lewis, LeAnn Rimes), and will be releasing more singles throughout the year.
