Nainnoh (pronounced nine-oh), is a Georgian-born, New York based singer-songwriter with an ethereal indie pop lilt.  Nearly a decade in the making, her debut album NAINNOH explores a vast span of her personal journey and spiritual vivification.

Commencing with the first of the twelve songs on the album, Cambium Rings” highlights Nainnoh’s celestial vocals accompanied by minimal instrumental.  From her childhood in a tightly government controlled Georgia, Nainnoh reaches back incorporating Georgian folk with experimental psychedelic to create her unique style for songs “Water”, “Velvet Mode”, and “Colors”.

“Run” opens with an intimidating drum beat that give way to such painful lyrics as “Sorrow comes when the day passes over and the night brings shadows..Looking up at the sky I can feel every star hanging from the gallows”.

Other stand outs from this album are the rock/pop “Break Apart” and “Vital Illusions”, a swerve with a modern jazzy/R&B sound.  NAINNOH ties together her personal tragedies and life experiences with hope and love into her songwriting themes, saying “I hope the listener takes away the knowledge of existing in the darkness and still finding love and kindness, We can survive, and we’re going to be okay.”

A great first effort,  NAINNOH reveals its treasures with every listen.
