New Release: “Devils”
Release Date: April 2, 2021
TREASVRE is a female fronted, 5 member band from the San Francisco metro that combines the genres of shoegaze, Gothic, post-rock, punk, atmospheric rock and synth-electronic music together into quite a captivating blend and the band is known for their live shows. Rock at Night covered them earlier this year when they released two singles, you can check that story out HERE.
This latest video is artistic, dramatic and reveals the band’s intense focus while using 70’s visuals, unusual lighting and camera angles and mysterious symbols to convey the meanings in the lyrics of the song. Expert editing as well, with the use of shadowing and primary colors keep the viewer focused on the story-line. The video, which has more of the elements of a short film than a music video, tells the story of a female motorcyclist chasing down her inner demons while following the symbology during her ride.
From the band: ““Devils” is a 70s-inspired film about a faceless motorcyclist’s quest to confront her demons. We worked with San Francisco independent filmmaker Michael Beltrán, who came up with the concept and assembled an amazing team to make it all happen. We wanted to do something different to highlight the cinematic quality of our music, so Michael’s artsy and dramatic ideas were perfect for what we had in mind already. Everyone on the production team worked so hard to pull off the vision, and we are thrilled with the result. Every frame truly captures the raw emotion of the song, slowly building up to a cathartic climax in the last few seconds of the film. We are so ecstatic to finally be able to share this music video, and we want to thank everyone who contributed their skills and expertise to make it possible.”
Check out the video and be sure to connect with this band on the usual live-streaming platforms and on their socials. Rock at Night is waiting for even more music from this band!
