Astoria State Releases Their Powerful Single and Video ‘Nobody Knows’

“Nobody Knows” has already landed on Spotify’s New Noise, Loudwire Weekly Wire, Planet Mosh & GigSoup Rock playlists, along with Apple Music Breaking Hard Rock and Pandora Amp Fresh Cuts Radio. The Red Jumpsuit Apparatus’ Ron Winter produced the song and the lyrics are Astoria State’s is a demand for answered questions in a crazy world.

Speaking about the track, the band’s Danny Resnick says: “Nobody Knows’ is a song that we really wanted to portray the visual and ethereal feeling of the chaos that can ensue in life. We wanted to project the feeling that takes over sometimes when the wreckage is so visceral. It is a recollection of being in a dark place without the answers, and making a plea to find them. The song is the about the revelation you have when you are running away from the carnage without a place to go. Ultimately, it’s about accepting that we don’t know the answers, but having the hope that our resolve will lead us to them.”

When the lock-downs halted concerts and live shows last March (2020), Jesse Carroll who was filling in on guitar in The Red Jumpsuit Apparatus and Danny Resnick who played with the supporting band had already previously connected. Finding themselves with more time on their hands, they started talking to each other about a similar vision of the music they wanted to play. The two began writing together last July and by autumn they were recording at John Espy‘s home in California; he was the TRJA‘s drummer. Bassist Cameron Horst, a longtime friend of Resnick since their high school days in Anchorage, Alaska was brought in to complete the lineup. The band has a short tour coming up, right now with dates in Florida and Texas. This weekend, they will play in Orlando at the Kraken Music Festival.

Anita grew up in a rock and roll radio station that her father owned and has a musical family. Spent a few years singing back up. Now sings in the shower!
