Well folks, we are getting ready for the spooky season and this song fits the bill. This song is a combo of genres by Jeff Tuohy who hails from Brooklyn, New York and I loved this right away after the first listen. A song with a little bit of jazz, blues, soul and rock is the easiest way to explain what you will hear.

Tuohy has been entertaining audiences for a long time, has received accolades, toured through 41 states nationally and is a prolific songwriter. He is known for his live shows and the multi-cultural influences in his music.

This song will be the third track released from his upcoming third album “Hudson Delta” out in about another week as of this writing. Love this artist’s style and how he can go from song to song and from one genre to another. One could even call his music Americana in it’s truest form. In other songs he writes, there are shades of country or country-rock, Dixieland Jazz and more. The last single Tuohy released in early August, “Old Roads” had a beautiful country-rock feel.

This song is at a slow tempo and opens with southern blues slide guitar, perhaps on a resonator. Lots of big sounds and walls of sounds in this track with a powerful chorus. Beautiful backing vocals provide the punctuation throughout the song.

Rock at Night says: “This song has a blues and blues rock feel, lots of layered sound and while the story he is telling is macabre, the hooks are strong enough to make the listener want to sing along. Jeff Tuohy is a master songwriter and storyteller. In addition to performing this track he also co-produced it, arranged the horns, did the vocals. A real talent!
