Review: The Birthday Massacre’s single “Dreams Of You” – Release Date December 13, 2021
Canadian dark wavers,The Birthday Massacre, released “Dreams Of You” on December 13. 2021. This single is just a small taste of what can be expected from the ninth studio album titled Fascination.
The lyrics, ‘We’re all lost at the edge of something. We keep pretending, but we’re feeling nothing. And where we’re going makes a perfect waste of you – I knew. Dreams of you.’, pull you in from the very beginning. It’s emotional and ethereal delivery is evident.
“Dreams Of You” is the ideal combination of Chibi’s haunting and lush vocals with captivating electronica and aggressive guitars via Rainbow (guitars, programming, vocals), Falcore (lead guitar), Phillip Elliott (drums), Owen (keyboards), and Brett ‘Bat’ Carruthers (bass).
I’m impatiently waiting for Fascination, out February 18, 2022 on Metropolis Records, and will add this to my ever growing rotation. If “Dreams Of You” is any indication, it will earn a spot in yours too!

The Birthday Massacre will embark on a long-delayed U.S. tour with friends Julien-K in support which kicks off in New York City on February 24th. The band then follows with extensive international touring including treks across South America, The United Kingdom and Continental Europe.
