On April 8th, the band released their latest raucous and rocking single, “Waiting For Your Man” on the luminary Joe Bonamassa’s label, KTBA (Keeping the Blues Alive) Records. The accompanying video is expertly edited and is made up of a collection of clips from several of the band’s live performances.
The band features Robert Jon Burrison on lead vocals and guitar, Andrew Espantman on drums and background vocals, Steve Maggiora on keys and background vocals, Henry James on lead guitar and background vocals and Warren Murrel on bass and background vocals.
“”Waiting for Your Man” is the simple song about going through the peaks and valleys of any relationship,” says Robert Jon. “Both sides have their issues with one and other, but they want to give each other a chance. Sometimes it is easy to throw away what could have been something great. We wanted a change of pace and something we can get done quickly,” he elaborates. The band was able to get the song recorded in one day.
“…There is something about knowing what needs to get done that pushes us to play better and not overthink things. Andrew had ideas flying in for arrangements at the last minute. Henry had ideas for the solos. Everyone nailed it in the studio.”
Rock at Night says: “This is a fierce rock and roll song, very riff based, heavy on the drums and the guitar solo, with the keys and bass tying it all together. A song you definitely want to hear performed live. Everyone sings in this band and that gives the track and the telling of the story a luscious and layered feel. Once you hear this one, you will raise your lighter (or phone) for more!“
Robert Jon and the Wreck are getting ready to tour through the UK and the rest of the EU starting on May 3, 2022. Check out all the upcoming dates by clicking HERE.
