Review: Trash Boat’s new single “Delusions of Grandeur”– Release date February 9, 2023

UK punk band Trash Boat is currently in the studio prepping it’s fourth LP, coming soon on Hopeless Records –  which has numerous fresh faces hitting the festival scene this summer, and has played home to bands like Avenged Sevenfold, Taking Back Sunday, and more through the years.
The Band Says: The song is about recognizing that we are all so obsessed with the next achievement in life that we forget that our brains are wired to only really NEED the essentials. Water, sleep and companionship. Our brains are biological organisms that are perfectly happy with simplicity & we’ve created this idea of success and it traps us into thinking we can’t be ‘happy’ until we have the next thing – a car, a house, money, selling out the next biggest venue, impressing someone more well connected, getting your foot in a bigger door. These are the delusions of grandeur we all share. The song is a reflection of this grind and a reminder to take stock of what you have and realise that it’s already enough, the rest is just a bonus.

Rock At Night Says: Trash Boat fits the Hopeless bill, screaming aggression with pop hooks across a punk beat. If “Delusions of Grandeur” is an amuse-bouche of what to expect from their upcoming record, it should mean a great time for anyone set to see them on tour this year, including gigs across the UK very soon. Hello, Wembley!
