Review: Press Your Luck’s single “Tell Me Why”-Release date April 5, 2023
On the hunt for your next pop-punk obsession? Look no further than Press Your Luck’s new single “Tell Me Why”. Laced with palm-muted guitar goodness covering the gritty, sad-angry vibes around a breakup, it’s a song most people will relate to. Even if you haven’t had your heart broken in a while, the lyrics are equal parts cathartic and genuine, with riveting drum fills and catchy melodies you can easily sing along with.
I also really liked the way the song switches from “I’ve been taking all your pictures off the walls” to “Tell me why I’ve been taking all your pictures off the walls”. It’s excellent storytelling that clearly marks the passage of time without feeling stale. This band feels like something fresh off the Warped Tour stage. Even though that festival is in the books, this song will bring you right back to teenage summers filled with angst, first loves, and beach-soaked adolescent longing. Grab an earbud or share one with your crush for an experience you won’t soon forget.
