Swedish metal legends Meshuggah kicked off the Fall leg of their North American tour in San Diego on November 21st. They will continue their trek across the US before ending the year on December 16th in Montreal. The band’s current lineup consists of Jens Kidman, Fredrik Thordendal, Tomas Haake, Marten Hagstrom, and Dick Lovgren.

Rock At Night was lucky to catch them at GLC Live at 20 Monroe, Grand Rapids, for a night of metal, thrash, and of course, moshing. Messhuggah performed–and with plenty of attitude-on a smoke-filled stage with colored lasers and flashing white strobes. These guys have been around since the late-80s, possibly before most of the concert’s guests were born. They gave their all and showed no sign of slowing down.

The support bands were no slouches either. There was plenty of old school moshing as In Flames worked the crowd into a frenzy. White Chapel put on a fantastic showing as well.
