Review: KINGS COUNTY NEW SINGLE/ VIDEO   ‘BLUE MONDAY’-Release date April 12, 2024

When a musical artist decides to remake a classic song, it very rarely lives up to the expectations and greatness of the original. But there are exceptions, such as Kings County’s remake of ‘Blue Monday,’ originally recorded by New Order, a classic that has stood the test of time.

Kings County has taken this song to a new level while keeping in the spirit of the original. The heavy sound that Kings County has incorporated into ‘Blue Monday’ enhances the dance-style genre of this classic. Powerful drums, thrashing guitars, fantastic vocals, unique 80s keyboard sounds, and a solid bass line that keeps everything together make this a success from start to finish.

Originally from New York & Massachusetts and now based in Florida, Kings County consists of bandmates Rob Dexter (Vocals, Bass) Steve Bell (Guitars, Vocals), Joe Lopez (Drums), and Bill Kania (Guitars, Vocals). King’s County has displayed outstanding chemistry within the band, which helps them work together so well, like a four-part, well-oiled machine.

‘Blue Monday’ was produced by one of the best in the business, the talented Chuck Alkazian. The video, directed by the always creative Jon Vulpine, is more of a straightforward performance video with some high-end lighting, which makes it very enjoyable.

Kings County continues to impress and gain fans worldwide with each new release. The best is yet to come.
