Single Review: Letdown’s “Raincoat” – Release date May 10, 2024
Catchy course, relatable lyrics, straightforward video. New single ‘Raincoat’ by Letdown is an instant classic banger. Extremely clear production and sound quality bordering on pop perfection lends itself well to this punk-pop soon to be hit. After just one listen, I was already humming the anthemic course, which is a true testament to this songwriter’s ability to write hooks. The use of a pause and drop into the course works super effectively in contrast to this song’s more mellow verses.
Blake Coddington, the face behind Letdown, has built a strong social media following over the past few years and this hard work has resulted in success on the alternative charts, with past hit ‘Crying in the Shower’ peaking in the top 20 of U.S Alt Radio. With this growing fanbase and the catchy tunes you best go see Letdown before they get too big. On tour this summer with the Idobi Radio Summer School.
