Review: VAZUM’S album Western Violence – Release date June 6, 2024
Detroit post-punk/Goth duo VAZUM is bringing back an 80s sound in their latest album Western Violence. Zach Pliska (vocals, guitars) and Emily Sturm (vocals, bass) provide social commentary on the sign of the times with our favorites “Western Violence” (very Siouxsie & the Banshees), “Breach,” (very Sister of Mercy) and “Blush” (very Cure). Also, check out the danceable “Embryo.” For those that know their music, the album is more upbeat and catchy than past albums. We just wish the mix could be punchier.
