Rock At Night has been following the Omaha-based band The Midnight Devils since the Summer of 2021. Additionally, we featured the band in our Glam Rock print edition. The power trio, consisting of Sam “Spade” Morris on bass, Sniper on guitar, and Jimmy Mess on drums, describe their music as “slam boogie rock & roll” but we like to think of it as balls to the walls “party rock.” With the band’s raw energy, glammy theatrical makeup, and titillating lyrics, the live show is one you won’t forget.

The band released the album Never Beg for It in 2022, and this year, So Hard It Hurts. They have been touring extensively throughout the U.S. and U.K/EU and even graced the continent of Australia. Now that the band is stateside, we felt a follow-up interview was way overdue.

Singer/bassist Sam Morris brings us up to speed regarding the band’s overseas tour with Pretty Boy Floyd, Enuf Z’Nuff, the UK festival with Kickin’ Valentina, wearing face makeup on stage, traveling overseas with equipment, being a “positive party rock & roll band,” and plans for 2025.
