Review: Black Tish – Industrial Tribute – Release date, July 1, 2024
Those following more closely the heavier side of rock – any form of metal and industrial just might remember Black Tish a Brussels, Belgium unit, who have been around since all the way from 1988.
The trio of Bob Coecke (Vocals, Guitars, Samples, Drums), Bruce Warner (Bass), Marieke Coecke (Vocals), definitely revel in the heavier side of industrial rock who by some are called the “missing link between the pure experimental nature of bands like Throbbing Gristle and Einstürzende Neubauten and the (comparatively) more radio accessible Ministry or Nine Inch Nails.”
After an EP called The Hanged Man earlier this year comprised of tracks band leader Bob Coecke and bassist Bruce Warner wrote and recorded during the COVID lockdown, Black Tish now literally unleash their double-sided single ‘Industrial Tribute.’
While ‘What A Day’ sounds like a true hammer pounding in your head and a real digest after a really tough day, ‘Zerstore Zelly’ goes even further in the industrial territory and can serve as a surefire soundtrack for an imaginary horror movie you’d love to get scared by.
Fans of all sounds metal and industrial will love this one.
