Rock At Night caught up with Ottawa-based grindcore band FUCK THE FACTS at the venue Epic Problem, Tampa, Florida. The band is currently on tour across the U.S. to promote their self-released, self-produced album Desire Will Rot. Having previously released three albums through the label Relapse Records, FUCK THE FACTS approached Desire Will Rot with creative freedom and their newfound independence.
During their interview, FUCK THE FACTS founder Topon Das and lead singer Mel Mongeon discussed the origin and controversy behind the band’s name, life as a touring musician and their experiences in North America and Europe, their opinion of the Paris-Bacalan attacks, and how they and the band have matured through the years.
Members: guitarist/founder Topon Das, vocalist Mel Mongeon, drummer Mathieu Vilandré, bassist/vocalist Marc Bourgon, and guitarist Johnny Ibay
