On Thursday, January 28th, 2021 Rock at Night got to sit down and have a long chat with Colin Clive, long time member of Mustard Plug, probably one of the first U.S. based ska bands hailing from Grand Rapids, Michigan of all places. We talked about the origins of the ska genre, it’s relationships to punk music and the reggae genre, how the band was formed, touring and traveling world-wide and so much more. This band is absolutely the most fun to see complete with lots of crazy dancing and mosh pit included and they have fans from every corner of the planet! Like every other band and single musicians, Mustard Plug’s band members are still busy, writing music and taking personal precautions during the lock-downs. Everyone is looking forward to this year and being able to play to live audiences safely again. Click the arrow above to hear Colin and I and our great conversation and check out the band’s socials and music linked below.
