Interview: Annemarie Jo – Recorded January 9, 2025
Michigan native Annemarie Jo is not only a member of well-known Detroit cover band Sinjon Smith but is also making strides as a solo artist. Last year she performed over 100 gigs besides cutting a single “Cherry On Top” and “Excuse Me (While I Lose My Cool),” which Rock At Night premiered on December 4th. We were really impressed with the quality of the video and the bluesy song is upbeat and infectious. You can read our review HERE.
In this interview, Annemarie Jo discusses the making of the video for “Excuse Me (While I Lose My Cool)” with White Knuckle Films, which was filmed at the Aretha Franklin Jazz Cafe. She discusses her single “Cherry On Top,” playing over 100 gigs last year, singing the National Anthem at the Detroit Tiger’s games, her covers of songs by Lake Street Dive and Stevie Wonder, and more!
