Caleb Henry is a singer/ songwriter and rock guitarist from Southern California whose vibrant personality and impressive guitar skills caught my attention when one of his music posts began to automatically play on my Instagram feed. I knew I had to listen to more and so I went over to his Instagram page where I found a link to his YouTube channel. I liked what I heard and immediately knew that there was something really special about his music. Finding good music is hard but finding an endearing artist behind the talent is even harder. When you listen and watch Caleb Henry play you know that he is very real, and very down to earth. He plays and writes wherever his heart takes him and masterfully crafts his songs with enough sincerity and the right amount of hard driven chords to keep fans enthralled.

Caleb was a rare humble find in the world of social media. A real unpretentious rising star unlike the endless amounts of pretentious unknown “public figure” and bigger than real life profiles on Instagram, not to mention the bands that follow to Unfollow by the end of the day just so that they can look like rock stars when their talent does not support their grandiose amount of followers. Luckily for me, the dreadful Instagram algorithm for once worked it’s magic when it started to introduce me to Caleb Henry’s posts due to our mutual band follows and likes.

Rock at Night had a chance to catch up with Caleb Henry where he talked about his musical style, influences and how he got started in his musical career. Caleb also gave us a rundown of his music gear and even gave us a beautiful unplugged performance of his song “Summer Gives to Fall”. Besides being a solo artist, Caleb also plays in the California punk band DKA whose members also back Caleb to form Caleb Henry and the Customs. Band members include: Ryan Moline on rhythm guitar, Mason Haynie on violin, guitar and back vocals, Kolten James Knaub on drums, Micah Herman on bass and back vocals, and Caleb Henry on lead vocals and guitar. His latest EP is called ‘Lost in the Particulars’ and his latest official music video “Trouble”, shot by Halle Keeth, can be found on YouTube.

Who doesn’t like to find a great new artist with both talent and looks that will blow the roof off of any venue?! With that said, I am honored to introduce to you Caleb Henry, Rock at Night’s spotlight artist. Make sure to support his music by catching his live performances and by supporting his music through social media outlets.
